APCC chief to interact with party workers
Port’s Kalavani auditorium is the venue
VISAKHAPATNAM:
President of AP Congress Committee D. Srinivas will interact with party workers at a meeting being organized at the port’s Kalavani auditorium during his visit to the city on Sunday.
Senior workers from the 72 wards were being invited to attend the meeting, and only party workers would be allowed to speak to Mr. Srinivas and air their views, Congress party observer Raja Vishnu Vardhan Reddy and city Congress president Tynala Vijaya Kumar said at a meeting of party MLAs and leaders of its front organizations held here on Friday.
The PCC president would be at the auditorium from 10.30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., party workers and leaders could meet him at Yeleru Guest House near AU College of Engineering.
Chodavaram meet
The Congress is organizing a meeting at Chodavaram on Saturday afternoon to mark the conclusion of the padayatras it was organising in different parts of the district by its MLAs and others. Along with Mr. Srinivas, Minister for Commercial Taxes Konathala Ramakrishna would address the meeting. It was expected to commence at around 4 p.m., the party leaders said.
City MLAs Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao, S. Ranga Raju and T. Gurumurthy Reddy, former Mayors S. Hari and Rajana Ramani, former MLA Surreddi, PCC members Bheesetti Nookeswara Rao, Koyya Prasada Reddy, Mantri Rajasekhar, Ponnada Mohana Rao, Peela Uma Rani, Edadasari Gopala Rao and others attended the meeting.
